He is our help in time of need

I have decided to share a little testimony of God's great love for his little children in their smallest needs.

I was feeling very down and completely rejected a few weeks ago, so as I turned to the book of Job (which was the book I had been reading through at the time) my Bible opened to Psalm 40 (Now I am not one to just open their Bible anywhere and say this is a message from God but on this occasion I think it must have been Him.) so I decided to just see what this Psalm said so I began to read, and as I read this verse "But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer" I was completely overtaken with the most joy and encouragement I think I have ever experienced. God is indeed our Helper and our Delivered, a constant friend in time of trial. All that I am and all that you are God has made perfect according to His will.

This is one of the many instances God has brought me up from a low place back into His powerful fortress of protection and peaceful rest.

"And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."

Psalm 24

This passage of scripture was very encouraging to me today. When we look around at all the chaos in the world today keep in mind this Psalm.

Your brother in Christ
Joel

Psalm 24 (KJV)
1. The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
